Spring 2019

How much do you know about Owls?

Autumn 2018

We have been learning about Online Safety

Summer 2018

This term we have been visiting Wimbledon Common and Chesterton Primary School with Edress to find out about Forest Schools!

Spring 2018

We have had such a fun term with our topic LONG LONG AGO. We learnt the story of Little Red Riding Hood with actions and re-told the story in our own words. We were able to get inspiration from our visit to The Polka Theatre to see ‘The Snow Queen’ which was fabulous and we were all super stars on our visit. We also had workshops with an actor and played lots of fun drama games about the story.

We’ve been completing lots of amazing maths with place value and addition and use concrete materials to help us. We have also been counting in multiples and practicing multiplication facts.

We have also been so busy learning all about toys past and present. We visited Fulham Palace Museum and took part in a workshop about toys, we asked lots of questions and listened so well to the teacher. We have been writing descriptions about toys and comparing old and new toys.

We created our own forests linked to Little Red Riding Hood inspired by Andy Goldsworthy who uses nature to create pictures.

We have been busy learning about people who help us and pretending to be doctors.

We wrote up patient details and recorded information.

We also made healthy juices by measuring amounts.

We also created our own skeletons in art.

There was an accident too! We had to be police or paramedics and write an incident report.

Spring term 2017

In KS1 this term, the pupils have been reading George’s Marvellous medicine and creating their own potions.

They have also been learning about keeping safe on the internet and how to solve tricky problems using their mathematical resources.
